About

Dari Cassar is a 29-year-old artist who received high honors with a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Fine Art with an emphasis in Painting and Sculpture from the California State University of Channel Islands. She was also awarded Excellence in the Field of Sculpture by CSU Channel Islands. She took classes in a range of mediums which gave her an extremely well-rounded approach and great attitude to experiment with the development of her craft. Before studying art, she received honors for her Associates Degree in Natural Sciences, studying the anatomical form from a pre-nursing perspective. Science, the anatomical form, microbiology and physiology are influences she has taken on into her art forms of today. 

 

Dari Cassar keeps busy by not only working on her own fine art endeavors, but also does fabrication commissions and works in the IATSE Local 729 Set Painters and Sign Writers Union for Film and Television. Her most recent works were on Mandolorian (Season 3), Ashoka and The Shrink Next Door.

Dari Cassar sculpturally works in a wide range of materials, including but not limited to, platinum silicone, metal, ceramic stoneware, resin, dental acrylic, stone, bronze casting, wood, and mixed media assemblage. She is a mold maker and a sculptor. She is also proficient in casting the live human form. In the last 3 years, Dari has molded 30 heads, 2 full bodies, and some body parts in between.

Dari also paints murals, signs, and faux finishes, such as marble, wood graining, and rust. She also has experience painting miniature sets.
